LWC Women's Tennis receives top seed in MSC tourney

The No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team is the No. 1 overall seed in the Mid-South Conference Championships, the conference office announced today.

The Blue Raiders (10-2, 6-0 MSC) received the top seed by virtue of winning the MSC regular season title outright and earn a first-round bye into the semifinals.



Lindsey Wilson faces the winner of the first quarterfinal match between No. 4-seeded Cumberland (Tenn.) and No. 5-seeded Georgetown (Ky.), which is scheduled for Noon CT on Friday in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

LWC's semifinal match is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT on Saturday. The championship match will take place the following day at 2 p.m. CT and will also take place in Bowling Green.

Cumberlands (Ky.) received the No. 2 seed and plays No. 7-seeded Shawnee State (Ohio.) on Friday in the quarterfinals as No. 3-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) and No. 6-seeded Pikeville (Ky.) round out the bracket.

Lindsey Wilson begins its MSC Championships run on Saturday at 2pmCT in Bowling Green, KY.
