J. C. Froedge, 83, of the Weed-Keltner community of Adair County, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at 3:18pmET at University Hospital in Louisville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 12noonCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, with Bro. Glenn McInteer officiating. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10amCT Friday until time for the service to begin.

He was born August 18, 1934, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Will McKinley and Pearl Lee Parson Froedge. He died Monday, April 16, 2018 at 3:18pmET at University Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 83 years, seven months, and 29 days.

He was a retired logger.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Dora Allene Garrison Froedge of Columbia, KY

  • Two sons: Allan Froedge of Columbia, KY; and Mack Froedge of Oklahoma

  • Two brothers: Coy Froedge and Carl Froedge both of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Alex Froedge, McKinley Spillman, abd Jake Froedge

  • Five great-grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews
  • And other relatives and friends.
