Jones Chapel UMC sends Thank You for phenomenal support Turnout from community, support of business people, candidates made benefit for Bro. Mike Moon, pastor of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church made event a huge success. Click on headline for complete Thank You Dear Editor, The church family at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church wishes to express our sincere appreciation to the people of Adair and Green County for your support of the April 14th benefit for our Pastor, Mike Moon. Our goal was to raise funds to assist Bro. Mike during the twelve weeks he is expected to need for recovery from his March 28th surgery for pancreatic cancer. Your willingness to come out on a wet evening in April to express your support financially was phenomenal. Each and every bid, no matter how big or how small, was greatly appreciated. Without the support or our business community the auction would not have been possible. We sincerely thank you for each item donated and the financial contributions given so freely and with such love. Many individuals donated items they had purchased and also baked goods made at home in the kitchen using favorite and family recipes. We can never thank you enough for your contribution in both auction items and the many cash contributions. We want to recognize and thank the many candidates for public office who came out to show support for this effort, as well. Dale Hayes and Joe Bryant of Bryant Realty and Auction Company worked tirelessly to ensure that each item was well presented and sold for the highest dollar. We thank you for the great effort put forth not only during the auction but in the days leading up to the event. Finally, we want to express our appreciation to the Richard family at the Clubhouse Grill for not only hosting the auction event, but for taking on the task of feeding the huge crowd. The food as always was delicious. Sincerely, - Chad Parnell for Jones Chapel United Methodist Church This story was posted on 2018-04-17 04:53:55
