Aubrey Calhoun of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Green Hill Rehab and Care Center. He was 83 years and 24 days of age.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10amCT Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Akin Family Cemetery. Bro. Dale Warren and Bro. Roger Gilbert officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Visitation is requested from 4-8pmCT Thursday at the funeral home and after 7amCT Friday until time of the funeral service.



Aubrey Calhoun, 83, Green County, KY (1935-2018)

Aubrey Calhoun of Greensburg, Green County, KY, son of the late Warner Morrison Calhoun and Flossie Mae Walker Calhoun, was born on Sunday, March 17, 1935 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. He was 83 years and 24 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Allendale Missionary Baptist Church. He was also retired from Kentucky Trailer Manufacturing.

Survivors include
  • Four sons and daughters-in-law: Gary and Tammi Calhoun, Charlie and Pam Calhoun, Tommy and Dina Calhoun, and Mike and Tammy Calhoun all of Green County, KY;

  • A daughter and son-in-law: Rebecca and Daniel York of Greensburg, KY;

  • Twelve grandchildren;

  • Fifteen great-grandchildren;

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Calhoun was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Vechell Calhoun, Rollin Calhoun, Carnell Calhoun, David Calhoun, Willie Shope, and Wilkie Lewis; and his ex-wife: Judith Ann Latham Calhoun on March 10, 2001.

Send condolences to the family of Aubrey Calhoun.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 296 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
