Alouise Wilson Johnson, Russell County, KY (1931-2018)

She was a the matriarch of a highly regarded Russell County family. She was the daughter of the late Polly Gosser and Cosy Wilson. Her husband, Bro. Cleveland Johnson, survives. She leaves 21 direct living descendants, many of whom live in Adair County, KY. She was a retired cook in the Russell County School System, a homemaker and a member of Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

Alouise (Wilson) Johnson, 86, Russell Springs, KY, passed away Monday April 09, 2018 at Fair Oaks Health System, Jamestown, KY.

Funeral services will be at 10amCT, Thursday April 12, 2018 at Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church, 1604 East Highway 619, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Josh Owens & Bro. Randy Taylor officiating. Special music provided by Ryan and Sara Stephens, Hannah England and Rebecca Skaggs. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery, Highway 910, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday April 11, 2018 5pm till 9pmCT, at Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church, 1604 East Highway 619, Russell Springs, KY.



Pallbearers: Anthony Grant, Wyatt Wooten, Riley Grant, Larry Bennett, Darris Bennett and Mike Foley. Honorary Pallbearers: Winston Roy, Robert Hoskins, Lowell Hopper and members of her Good Neighbors Sunday School Class.

She was a retired cook in the Russell County School System, homemaker and member of Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

She was born on Sunday, July 26, 1931 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Polly Gosser Wilson and the late Cosby Wilson. She died Monday, April 9, 2018, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 86 years, eight months, and 15 days.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband: Bro. Cleveland Johnson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Her two daughters: Cindy wife of Derrick Wooten, Somerset, KY; Karen Suzzette wife of Lloyd Anglin, Russell Springs, KY.

  • Her three sons: Billy Joe Johnson, Russell Springs, KY; Rex, husband of Becky Johnson, Russell Springs, KY; and Jo Kim, spouse Pam, Johnson, Louisville, KY

  • On sister: Paulette Roy, Russell Springs, KY

  • Her nine grandchildren: Anthony Grant (Keena), Sara Stephens (Ryan), Jenny Frank (Kevin), Lacey Terry (Derek), Hannah England (James), Rebecca Skaggs (Chase), Erica Wooten, Wyatt Wooten and Sydney Johnson

  • Seven great-grandchildren: Riley Grant, Lauren Grant, Linsey Grant, Callie Terry, Collin Terry, Ellie Kate Wooten and Lydia Skaggs
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Freddie Wilson.
