Clarice Rogers Campbell, Gradyville, Adair Co., KY native

January 19, 1930 - April 6, 2018

She was a member of one of Adair County's largest, most influential families, and leaves many relatives here. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Luada Rogers, and the widow of Cordell G. Campbell. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Middletown, an avid golfer, a retired beautician, and a member of Middletown United Methodist Church. She leaves seven direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in her native Adair County, at Haven Hill Cemetery.

Clarice Rogers Campbell, 88, of Louisville, KY, passed away Friday April 6, 2018 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.

Funeral Services will be 10amCT/11amET Monday April 9, 2018 at Middletown United Methodist Church, 11902 Old Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY. Burial will follow at 3pmCT/4pmET, at Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be 12pm-5pmCT/1pm-6pmET, Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road East, Louisville, KY. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, is assisting with local arrangements.

She was born January 19, 1930 in Gradyville, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of Ernest and Luada Rogers. She died Friday, April 6, 2018, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 88 years, two months, and 18 days.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Middletown, an avid golfer, a retired beautician, and a member of Middletown United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, J.U. Rogers; and her husband of 67 years, Cordell G. Campbell.

She is survived by:
  • Her son: Derek Campbell

  • Daughter: Denise Michal (Chuck)

  • One grandson: Justin Trip Michal (Lauren)

  • Four great grandchildren

  • Sisters: Jo Ann Cole and Dolores Rogers

  • Nieces and nephews

  • And several great nieces and nephews
