He was a truck driver. He was a native of Williamsburg, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of his death. Hew was he son of the late Emrie & Dora Belle Bryant Hamblin. His wife, Phyllis Ann Holt Hamblen survives. He was the patriarch of a respected Russell County, KY family. He leaves 13 direct and three step- living descendants. His final resting place will be in his adopted Russell County, KY.

Berry H. Hamblin, 77, of Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral service for Berry H. Hamblin will be 11amCT, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. David Blair and Bro. Billy Silverman officiating. Visitation will start at 9amCT, Saturday, continuing until funeral time at 11amCT. Interment will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

He was born August 29, 1940 in Williamsburg, Whitley County, KY. He was the son of the late Emrie & Zora Belle Bryant Hamblin. He died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 77 years, six months, and 27 days.

Berry was a Truck Driver.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude & Emrie, Jr.; and three sisters, Fannie, Lillian, and Betty. Survivors include:
  • His wife: Phyllis Ann Holt Hamblin, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two children: Sandra (Gary) Maynes, Goshen, Ohio; and Barry Ranse (Donna) Hamblin, Goshen, Ohio

  • Three step children: Shelly (Mike) Fennen, Lebanon, Ohio; Mike (Bridget) Thomas, Ashland, KY; and Sherry (Joe) Roy, Burlington, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Ranse Hamblin, Jr., Lindsey Tepe, Brian Fennen, Andrew Fennen, Kelsey Thomas, John Thomas, Aaron Roy, and Matthew Roy

  • Sister-in-law: Nannie Hamblin, Williamsburg, KY

  • Three great grandchildren
