New Homeplace on Green River Newsletter

Now available for download: the March issue of the Homeplace on Green River Newsletter (PDF).

By George Kolbenschlag

Two important items. First, plow day/spring festival is scheduled for April 21. This year’s festival is going to include a large display of antique tractors and more horse and mule plow teams than we’ve had before. There will also be hay rides and many other family activities showcasing the history of agriculture in the area, a large number of arts and crafts for sale (all Kentucky products) and lots of food.

Second is the introduction of "Shakespeare in the Barn" a summer of theatre performances, including Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona; Smoke on the Mountain, a musical; and a children’s performance, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. All in the refurbished bank barn. There’s more detail on both events in the attached Newsletter. Hope to see you there.
