David Jones, Adair County School District Director of Transportation, called early this morning to announce that Adair County Schools will be Closed today, due to snow on overpasses, bridges, particularly in the Breeding and Knifley areas. "With the weather predictions and with snow continuing to fall, we felt it was just best to call off school for today." .

Larry Smith reports a number of school districts in our area are closed or on a delayed schedule today, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, due to the snow, including these:

  • Campbellsville Independent Schools - On 1 Hour Delay. Students will report to class at 9amET. - Calen McKinney

  • Casey County School District - Larry Smith
  • Green County School District - Larry Smith
  • Hart County School District - : Hart County Schools website

  • Metcalfe County School District - : Metcalfe County Schools website
  • Russell County Schools - - Larry Smith
  • Taylor County Schools - - Larry Smith
School closings and delays are also carried on local media, including Larry Smith for 99.9 FM, the Big Dawg; WBKO-Tv, largely for the area west and North of Columbia, and by WKYT-Tv for the area to the East and Northeast of Columbia, with some overlap.
