He was of Baptist faith, a United States Marine Corps Veteran, and a Diesel Technician for D and B Trucking. He was the son of the late William & Margaret Mann Wood. His wife of over 41 years, Rosemary Dean Wood, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants.

Donald Allen Wood, 60, of Burkesville, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Glasgow, KY.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.



Donald Allen Wood, Cumberland Co., KY/Chautauqua Co., NY native (1958-2018)


He was born in Irving, Chautauqua County, NY on Friday, February 14, 1958. He was the son of the late William & Margaret Mann Wood. He died Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 60 years and 22 days.

He was of Baptist faith, a United States Marine Corps Veteran, and a Diesel Technician for D and B Trucking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert William Wood, and his niece, Christina Reneea Wood.

He is survived by:
  • His wife: Rosemary Dean Wood of Burkesville, KY, whom he wed on Saturday, January 15, 1977

  • His daughter and son-in-law: Michelle Lea & Harry Weaver of Cave City, KY

  • His brother and sister-in-law: Rex & Leola Wood of Gamaliel, KY

  • His sister and brother-in-law: Donna Louise & Robert Lawson of Fredonia, NY

  • Three grandchildren: Kimberly Weaver, Elizabeth Weaver, and Harry Weaver, Jr.

  • plus a host of other family members and friends
