Cleo (Coon) Whittle, Jr, Casey Co., KY (1941-2018)

He was born in Nancy, KY and was a resident of Liberty, KY, at the time of his death. He was a son of the late Leatra (Ashbrook) & Cleo Whittle, Sr. With his passing, two of the eight siblings born to this union survive. He leaves five direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Casey County, KY.

Cleo (Coon) Whittle, Jr, 77, of Liberty, KY passed away on Friday March 2, 2018, at his home.

Funeral Services for Cleo (Coon) Whittle, Jr are at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 1pmCT on Monday, March 5, 2018, with Bro. Phillip Miller officiating. Friends may visit on Monday after 110amCT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Birdie Russell Cemetery in Liberty, KY.

He was born in Nancy, KY on January 6, 1941. He was a son of the late Leatra (Ashbrook) & Cleo Whittle, Sr. He died Friday, March 2, 2018, at his home in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 28 days.

He is survived by:
  • A daughter: Joanna (Greg) Eads, of Russell Springs, KY

  • A brother: Nelson (Joyce) Whittle, of Nancy, KY

  • Sister: Filene Whittle, of Nancy, KY

  • Two grandsons: Jason and Greg Eads

  • Two great granddaughters: Lillie and Emerie Eads

  • Two special friends: Debbie Thomas and Pam Price
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Leonard, Ruel and Lilburn Whittle; and two sisters, Rena Mae Davis and Ilene Roy.
