LWC Bowling set to compete at MSC Championships Fri-Sun By Christopher Coombs The Lindsey Wilson men and women's bowling teams compete at the Mid-South Conference Championships Friday-Sunday at Southern Lanes, 2710 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY. Competition started Friday, February 23 at 8:30amCT, and continues at 9amCT on Saturday, February 24, and 9amCT on Sunday, February 25, 2018. The men's singles and doubles portion takes place on Friday morning with the women's singles and doubles taking place in the afternoon. Match play takes place on Saturday and Sunday. Lindsey Wilson's women's team is seeded 5th in the championship as they held a MSC record of 22-18. The Blue Raiders start the tournament against fourth-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) at 10:45 a.m. CT on Saturday. Pikeville (Ky.) is the top seed in the bracket and received a first round bye. No. 2 Martin Methodist and No. 3 Campbellsville also received a first round bye. On the men's side, Lindsey Wilson enters the tournament as the third seed with a MSC record of 30-10 and received a first round bye. LWC trails No. 2 Martin Methodist (34-6 MSC) and No. 1 Pikeville (38-2 MSC) in the rankings. The Blue Raiders will begin the tournament against sixth-seeded Life (Ga.) or 11-seeded Shawnee State (Ohio) at 10:45 a.m. CT Saturday. Pikeville and Martin Methodist also received a first-round bye.
