Lindsey Wilson athletics hosts its annual shoe drive on Thursday during the men and women's basketball doubleheader with Georgetown (KY) at Biggers Sports Center.

Fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used shoes and socks for ministries in Belize, Costa Rica, Liberia and other countries with a population in need of shoes. Fans with a donation will receive free admission into the games.

The annual event is co-sponsored by Sports Reach and AutoSmart.

"Our partnership with Sports Reach and AutoSmart has benefitted so many around the world," Lindsey Wilson athletics director Willis Pooler said. "I encourage all of our fans to bring as many pairs of shoes or socks as possible for this great cause while cheering on our basketball teams."

Those who wish to donate, but unable to attend to the games, can drop off their donations at the Lindsey Wilson athletic offices any day prior to Thursday's game.
