Kayaking: Two enthusiasts take first trip of the year By Mitzi Bault Columbia, KY, Mon 19 Feb 2018 - Robyn Curry and I made our first kayaking trip of the year today. We put in at Mt. Carmel and paddled up as far as we could go in Butler Branch. There was a tree down across the water and we had to turn around. Not much green out yet, but it’s coming. And of course I had to have my foot in the water. My last year finds were: 83 bobbers, 9 fishing lures, little green truck, Jim Beam hat, a pillow and a few more things. Kayaking is the best therapy a person can have. Adair County has a lot of great places to paddle. Just remember you must have a life jacket in your kayak and if under 16 or 18 years of age you must have it on. I need to check on that. - Mitzi Bault This story was posted on 2018-02-19 18:57:05
