Adair BOE ends month of January 2018 with slight cash gain

Treasurer's Report summary, Adair County Board of Education meeting 13 Feb 2018

Adair County Board of Education Finance Director Renae Smith reported a slight improvement in the District's cash balance in January 2018, with a beginning balance of $5,180,049.21 and ending balance of $5,436,558.02 at the end of he month.

The report was approved unanimously on a motion by Daniel Adams (Div 2), wth a scecond by Jonathan Gaskins (4) on a show of hands.

The report was delivered at the Tuesday, February 13, 2018 Special Regular Meeting of the Adair County School Board at the Board's Conference Room, Central Office, 1204 Greensburg Road, Columbia, KY.

ACPC Site Base Council at meeting in support of Kindergartners

The ACPC Site Base Council was recognized by Principal Patty Smith as being in attendance at the February meeting of the Adair Board of Education in support of the Kindergarten students there to lead the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council includes, in no particular order and not all necessarily present: Principal Patty Smith, Angie Hixson, Julie Burton, Tabitha Giles, Lisa Hayes, Jennifer Brock, Jennifer Furkin, and Jessica Willis, according to Adair County Schools/Site-Based Decision Making Councils 2017-18 a directory which also includes SBDMs for Adair County Elementary School, Adair County Middle School, and Adair County High School. -- LW

Cooper Brock and Landyn Coomer and Classmates led Pledge

ACPC Kindergartners Cooper Brock, left, and Landyn Coomer were ready to help lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the February meeting of the Adair Board of Education. Principal Patty Rush Smith guided her group in their presentation. They introduced themselves, gave their teacher's name and their parents' names and then led the crowd in the Pledge. A crowd of proud family members filled the meeting room.
