The Adair County Board of Education approved, within its "Consent Agenda," non resident agreements with seven school districts in the six surrounding counties.

The agreements are designed for a 1-to-1 agreement, up to a cap, in theory. In actual practice, Adair County comes up short 14 students, with 22 students from other districts enrolled here, 36 Adair County students are enrolled outside the county.

Imbalances affect District's SEEK funds.
Green County, were the Non-resident agreement calls for up to seven going to either, is the only District were Adair County is the net gainer: Seven Green County students are enrolled in Adair County. Five Adair Countians are enrolled in Green.

Campbellsville Independent School District's agreement is for up to two students attending as non-residents, there are currently no inter-district students.

Russell County and Adair County have a four student cap non-resident agreement, with four Adair Countians enrolled in Russell County, and three Russell Countians attending in Adair County.

Cumberland County School District has a 9/9 non-resident agreement, with seven students from Adair attending school in Cumberland County, and one Cumberland Countian attending in Adair County.

Metcalfe County Schools with whom Adair has a non-resident agreement capped at 12, enjoys a similar advantage as Cumberland, with 7 Adair County residents in the Metcalfe School District, and one Metcalfe County student attending in Adair.
