Mildred Inez Reynolds Kelly, Green County, KY (1932-2018)

She was a native of the Ebenezer Community of Green County, daughter of the late Daniel Wood Reynolds and Alta Mae Dye Reynolds, born on Sunday, July 10, 1932 in Hart County, KY. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Fry Baptist Church. She was a former lunch room worker for the Green County Board of Education. Her husband of 62 years, Lilburn Glenn Kelly, survives.

Mildred Inez Reynolds Kelly, 85, departed this life on Monday, February 12, 2018 at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services for her will be conducted at 11amCT Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Fry Cemetery. Bro. Larry Wisdom officiating.

Visitation is requested from 3pmCTuntil 8pmCT, Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Friday until time of the funeral service.

Mildred Inez Reynolds Kelly of Ebenezer Community of Green County, KY, was the daughter of the late Daniel Wood Reynolds & Alta Mae Dye Reynolds. She was born on Sunday, July 10, 1932 in Hart County, KY. She died Monday, February 12, 2018 at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, Barren County, KY. She was 85 years, 7 months, and 2 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Fry Baptist Church. She was also a former lunch room worker for the Green County Board of Education.

She is survived by
  • Her husband of 62 years, Lilburn Glenn Kelly of Green County, having united in marriage on August 3, 1955

  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Judy and Pat Judd of Green County, and Jan Kelly and her companion, Charlie Loyall of Hardyville;

  • Two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jerry and Mary Ann Kelly of Greensburg, and Jeff Kelly of Campbellsville;

  • Ten grandchildren: Christopher and Jackie Judd of Columbia, KY; Nicholas Judd of Green County, KY; Timmy and Jamie Judd of Greensburg, KY; Jeremy and Stacy Kelly of Lebanon, KY; Megan Kelly-Hardesty of Green County, KY; Jared Kelly and his fiance, Brianna Edwards of Summersville, KY; Tina and Jeff Brittain of Texas; Brandie and Ed Baumgardner of Hart County, KY; Nichole Kelly of Taylor County, KY; and Michael Kelly of Lexington, KY.

  • Seventeen great-grandchildren: Chelsea, Sarah, Bryce, Drew Patrick Judd, Landon and Laynie Marie Judd, Connor and Devon Hardesty, Payton and Addison Kelly, Jayden Brittain, Ashlee, Alexia, Alyssa Clark, Kadence and Kaley Ann Kelly;

  • Nine step-great-grandchildren;

  • One step-great-great-grandchild;

  • Brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Donald Whitley of Elizabethtown, Joe and Ruth Kelly of Harrodsburg;

  • Special friends: Mike and Janice Cornelison, Barbara Givens, and Tony and Machelle Corbin;

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by a brother: Wilburn Huelett Reynolds; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Earl and Pauline Whitlock Kelly; sisters-in-law: Gwen Whitley, Violet Reynolds, and Doris Reynolds.
