Bro. Bobby Clark, Bethelridge, KY (1943-2017)

Bro. Bobby was an ordained Baptist minister for many years, pastoring churches in Casey and Pulaski Counties. Over his duration in the ministry, he pastored Mt. Zion, Chesterview, Grave Hill, New Testament and his current church, Valley Oak, where he was also an active member. He also sang in the church quartet at Valley Oak Baptist Church. In former years, Bro. Bobby drove a school bus for Casey County School System. His wife of 52 years, Lou Eva Jasper Clark, survives. He leaves 10 direct living descendants.

Bro. Bobby V. Clark, 74, of Bethelridge, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services are 1pmCT/2pmET, Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Valley Oak Baptist Church, 217 Oak Hill Ridge in Argyle, KY, with Bro. Larry Butt and Bro. Troy Merrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Visitation will be held Saturday morning 9am-1pmCT/10am-2pmET, at the church.



Those serving as pallbearers are: C.T. Wesley, Marvin Godbey, Chuck Woodcock, Darrell Cravens, Roger Hatter, Ronald Lawless, David Stringer, and Douglas Gordon.

Born December 8, 1943 in Casey County, he was a son of the late Stanley & Dean Randolph Clark. He died Thursday, December 28, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 74 years, 20 days.

Bro. Bobby was an ordained Baptist minister for many years, pastoring churches in Casey and Pulaski Counties. Over his duration in the ministry, he pastored Mt. Zion, Chesterview, Grave Hill, New Testament and his current church, Valley Oak, where he was also an active member. He also sang in the church quartet at Valley Oak Baptist Church. In former years, Bro. Bobby drove a school bus for Casey County School System.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Lou Eva Jasper Clark of Bethelridge and
  • Four sons: Brian (Lisa) Clark of Science Hill, KY; Scot (special friend, Melissa Taylor) Clark of Liberty, KY; Bradley (Jamie) Clark of Bethelridge, KY, and Daniel (Kim) Clark of Somerset, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Austin, Aubrey, Easton, Reece, Cody and Ryan

  • Three brothers: Chester B. (Mary) Clark of Science Hill, KY; Gene (Pat) Clark of Argyle, KY; and DeWayne (Teresa) Clark of Somerset, KY

  • And two sisters: Lavene (Ronnie) Baker of Cincinnati, OH.; and Betty (Dester) Harness of Indianapolis, IN.
In addition to his parents, Bro. Bobby was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Clark; and two brothers, Frankie Clark and an infant brother.
