Mary Margaret Tucker, Taylor County, KY (1930-2017)

She professed faith in Christ at an early age and attended Campbellsville Baptist Church and Saloma Baptist Church. She was a member of a respected Taylor County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late George W. Burress & Mary Rollins Burress, and the widow of her husband of 55 years, Thomas V. Tucker. She leaves eight direct living descendants, spanning three generations.

Mary Margaret Tucker, 87, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 3:15pmET, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in Campbellsville.

Funeral service will be at 3pmCT/4pmEt, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Dr. James E. Jones. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, 200 block of W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is 10am-3pmCT/11am-4pmET, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Mary Margaret Tucker was the daughter of the late George W. Burress & Mary Rollins Burress, was born January 24, 1930, in Taylor County, KY. She died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 25 days.

She professed faith in Christ at an early age and attended Campbellsville Baptist Church and Saloma Baptist Church.

Mary Margaret united in marriage to her husband of 55 years, Thomas T. Tucker December 18, 1961 and he preceded her in death April 9, 2004.

She is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Alice Carroll and Connie Tucker of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three granddaughters: Tommie Lynn Howard, Cristi Carol Howard and significant other, Kevin Bradley; and Mary Gabrielle Tucker, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three great-granddaughters: Ashlee Michelle Long, Jazmine Carroll Howard and Alyssa McKinley Curry, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: John R. Burress, James Emmett Burress, Pauline McCubbin and Georgia Lee Pierce.
