Sella P. "Bertie" Brown age 93, of Stanford, KY formally of Yosemite, KY passed away on Sunday December 10, 2017 at the Stanford Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017, from 6pmET until 9pmET at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. The funeral service for Sella P. "Bertie" Brown will be on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 2pmET at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial will be in the Green River Christian Church Cemetery.



Sella (Bertie) Brown, 93, Stanford, KY (1924-2017)


She was born in Eubank, KY on June 28, 1924. She was a daughter of the late Harv Padgett & Ora Todd Weaver. She died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at the age of 93 years, five months, and 12 days.

She was the widow of Ernest Linville Brown. Bertie was a Housewife.

Survivors include:
  • Five sons: Winfred Brown of Yosemite, KY; Jerry Brown of Liberty, KY; Junior Brown of Greeley, CO; Terry Brown of Yosemite, KY; and Anthony Brown of Yosemite, KY

  • One daughter: Irma Martin of Yosemite, KY

  • Two step daughters: Essie Yaden and Pauline Navaro both of Franklin, IN

  • Twenty-one gandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren

  • Several great great grandchildren

  • Four brothers: Richard, Lillard, Ernest and Alvin Padgett

  • Four sisters: Barb, Ethel, Martha and Ina
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by Two Daughters: Donna Austin and Patsy Brown, One Granddaughter, Jessica Brown and One Sister: Zella.
