LWC Volleyball earns No.1 spot in NAIA Postseason Poll

Poll confirms what National Champion and unbeaten Lindsey Wilson Volleyball had proven beyond any possible doubt, on the court: Blue Raiders are the best volleyball team in the nation. PERIOD.

COLUMBIA, KY. - The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team held on to No. 1 spot in the NAIA Volleyball Postseason Coaches Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday.

The Blue Raiders (35-0) won the NAIA National Championship for the first time in program history this season after defeating Dordt (Iowa) in four sets. LWC swept 31 of its 35 opponents this season as they played only one, five set match and three, four set matches.

Lindsey Wilson received 467 total voting points and all 17 first place votes. National championship tournament runner-up Dordt (Iowa) jumped two spots to No. 2 in the poll with 452 total points.

Viterbo (WI), Missouri Baptist, and Westmont (CA) round out the top five.

LWC holds the longest active streak in the top 25 with 56 total appearances as the last 27 have been in the top five.

Mid-South Conference member Georgetown (KY) fell 3 spots to No. 20 after going 1-2 in pool play at the national
