Taylor County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 5 Dec 2017

Indictments brought against 9 individuals from Campbellsville, Greensburg, Summersville, Louisville, and Liberty, KY on charges including possession, burglary, escape, theft, and receiving stolen property.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Taylor County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Campbellsville, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 5 December 2017:

  • Logan Atwood (11/03/1997), Savannah Way, Liberty, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00212. Charged with 3 counts. Counts 1-3 - Unlawful transaction with minor 2nd degree. Bond set at $1,500 cash, no contact with victim.

  • John Barry Rucker (01/27/1977), Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00213. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense (methamphetamine). Count 2 - Public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Bond set at $1,200 cash.

  • Shawn A. Cochran (02/28/1982), Lentz Ave., Louisville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00214. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Theft of identity. Count 2 - Giving officer false identifying information. Count 3 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $25,000 full cash.

  • Shawn A. Cochran (02/28/1982), S. Central Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00215. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Escape, 2nd degree, identify facility. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Same bond as 17-CR-214.

  • William Wilson (11/13/1985), Barney School Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00216. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Possession controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (meth). Count 2 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 3 - Receiving stolen property under $10,000. Count 4 - TBUT or disposition all others $500 or more but under $10,000. Count 5 - Tampering with physical evidence. Count 6 - Failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, 1st offense. Bond set at $2,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law.

  • Brandon K. Blair (09/26/1989), Chestnut Ridge Rd., Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00217. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property $10,000 or more. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $10,000 cash, no contact with victim.

  • William J. Underwood (06/14/1974), Aetna Grove Church Rd., Summersville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00218. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (meth). Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Count 4 - Regulations necessary to implement KRS 150 purpose.

  • William J. Underwood (06/14/1974), Aetna Grove Church Rd., Summersville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00218. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Convicted felon in possession of a handgun. Count 2 - Convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Same bond as 17-CR-00218.

  • Jerica N. Bishop (05/08/1990), Birdie Ln., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00220. Charged with 7 counts. Counts 1-5 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Counts 6-7 - Theft by unlawful taking all others under $500. Bond set at $7,000 cash, no contact with victim.

  • James Gribbins (02/23/1969), Roland St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00221-001. Charged with 17 counts. Counts 1-5 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 6 - Receiving stolen property under $10,000. Counts 7-16 - Receiving stolen property under $500. Count 17 - Theft by unlawful taking all others under $500. Bond set at $2,000 full cash, no use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law, no contact with complaining witness.

  • Dawn Jones (01/02/1969), Lighthouse Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00221-002. Charged with 17 counts. Counts 1-5 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 6 - Receiving stolen property under $10,000. Counts 7-16 - Receiving stolen property under $500. Count 17 - Theft by unlawful taking all others under $500. Bond set at $2,000 full cash, no use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law, no contact with complaining witness.
