She was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, a former lay leader, member of the Chancel Choir and United Methodist Women and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a member of Cane Valley Homemakers for over 50 years, member of the Columbia Community Choir and Columbia Women's Club. She was a member of an outstanding family. She was the daughter of the late Homer & Lettie Feese Roberts Christie and the widow of Marvin Hutchison.
