Billy Ray Bale, 83, Green County, KY (1934-2017)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. Mr. Bale was a retired line worker for General Electric after 33 years of employment. He was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Army, a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124, and a member of the William B. Allen Masonic Lodge #704 F&AM in Summersville.

Billy Ray Bale, age 83 of Summersville, KY, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY

The funeral services for Billy Ray Bale will be conducted at 12pmNoonCT, Monday, December 4, 2017, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens in Summersville with full military honors. Visitation is requested 3pm-8pmCT, Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Monday until time of the funeral service. A Masonic Service will be held at 6pmCT, Sunday, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home conducted by the William B. Allen Masonic Lodge #704.

Mr. Billy Ray Bale of Summersville, KY, son of the late Garnett Edwin Bale and Bessie Ford Bale, was born on Thursday, January 18, 1934 in Green County, KY, and departed this life early Friday, December 1, 2017 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was 83 years, 10 months, and 13 days of age.



He is survived by:
  • A son and daughter-in-law: Tracy and Pam Bale of Summersville, KY

  • A brother: Charles Bale of Magnolia, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Shelbi Bale, Grace Bale, Gage Bale all of Summersville, KY; Natalia Warren and her husband, Andy of Campbellsville, KY; and Kelsey Gowin of Richmond, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Tyler Phillips of Summersville, KY; and Ryland Warren, and Kase Warren both of Campbellsville, KY

  • A special friend: Rita Slude of Greensburg, KY

  • Nieces and nephew: Jerry and Shirley Bale of Summersville, KY; and Garnetta Murrell of Campbellsville, KY
