She was a member of a respected family with deep roots in Russell & Adair Counties. She was the daughter of the late Lela (Hadley) & Wint Strange Spoon and the widow of Mervin Lawless. She leaves two direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Russell Springs, KY.

Margaret A. Lawless, 89, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral Services for Margaret Lawless will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 1pmCT, Saturday, December 2, 2017, with Bro. Larry Johnson officiating. Friends may visit on Saturday after 11amCT, at the funeral home Burial in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Margaret was born in Columbia, KY on August 2, 1928. She was a daughter of the late Lela (Hadley) & Wint Strange Spoon. She died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the age of 89 years, three months, and 27 days.

She is survived by:
  • One daughter Kathy Cundiff, of Russell Springs, KY

  • One granddaughter: Kaley Cundiff, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Her sister: Edith Flatt, of Jamestown, KY
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mervin Lawless; sister Lorene Spoon; and son-in-law Darrell Cundiff.
