Mrs. Gowen had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Cecilia United Methodist Church, Cecilia, KY. She was a native of Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Carl Gowen & Audrey Lee Wilkerson. Her final resting place will be at Bethlehem Cemetery

Mary Deloris Gowen, 82, departed this life Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

Visitation will be 2pm-6pmCT, Friday, December 1, 2017, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY. In accordance with the wishes of Mrs Gowen, there will be no funeral service and burial will be private in Bethlehem Cemetery, 525 Temperance Road, Greensburg, KY.

Mary Deloris Gowen was born April 9, 1935 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Carl Gowen & Audrey Lee Wilkerson. She departed this life Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, having attained the age of 82 years, seven months and 19 days.

Mrs. Gowen had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Cecilia United Methodist Church, Cecilia, KY.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Joe and Linwood Gowen and one sister: Margie Noe. She is survived by:
  • Two nephews and four nieces: Fred Gowen and his wife Barbara of Hodgenville, KY; Sheila Cull and her husband Don and Donna Mellick of Louisville, KY; Rosie Buechel and her husband Rene' of Bardstown, KY; Susie Noe of New Albany, IN; and Dinky Gowen and his wife Jennifer of Sonora, KY

  • And several great nieces and great nephews
