Frances Curry, Taylor County, KY (1931-2017)

She professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong, active member of Early's Chapel United Methodist Church. She had spent a few years working as a clerk in different retail stores. She considered herself very fortunate to be able to spend most of her time with the groups she enjoyed such as the Harmony Homemakers, the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary. She was a member of a leading Bengal area family, the daughter of the late Joe Henry Walters & Clara Sublett Walters. She was the widow of Lyman Curry. She leaves eight direct living descendants.

Frances Curry of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Joe Henry Walters and Clara Sublett Walters, was born January 26, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:48pmET, Friday, November 17, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 86

Funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Mark Price and Bro. Josh Wilson. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmCT, Monday, November 20, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Frances Curry, Taylor County, KY (1931-2017)

Frances Curry was the daughter of the late Joe Henry Walters & Clara Sublett Walters. She was born January 26, 1931 in Taylor County, KY. She died Friday, November 17, 2017 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 86 years, nine months, and 22 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong, active member of Early's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Even though Frances had spent a few years working as a clerk in different retail stores, she considered herself very fortunate to be able to spend most of her time with the groups she enjoyed such as the Harmony Homemakers, the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary.

She united in marriage to Lyman Curry on February 18, 1950 and he preceded her in death May 24, 1994.

She is survived by:
  • One daughter: Patricia Malone and husband, Ronnie of Elkhorn, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Missy Dixon and husband, Steve of Knifley, KY; and Jamie Malone and companion, Jackie Penick of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: James Dylan Malone, Jarett McKay Malone, Mariah Leigh Shively, Mason Wayne Dixon and McKenzie Brooke Dixon

  • One sister: Pauline Williams of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
Frances was preceded in death by three brothers: Horace "Shorty" Walters, James Walters and Charles Walters.
