Update: Ground search on for suspect in Symsonia shooting Update to earlier storyKSP seeking man after Friday shooting in Graves County Note: Charges/allegations are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. By Senior Trooper Jody Cash, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post One, Mayfield, KY SYMSONIA, KY (11 Nov 2017 at 3:11pmCT) - At approximately 2pmCT, Kentucky State Police Post 1 Dispatch received information that Mr. Becker (Douglas A. Becker 31, of Taylor, TX) was seen near the residence of last night's shooting. Law enforcement arriving on scene also report a sighting of Mr. Becker in the area of Bell Road near Dooms Chapel. Troopers from the Kentucky State Police, assisted by Kentucky Fish and Wildlife and Graves County Sheriff Department, are conducting an extensive ground search to include the use of a Police Canine. Residents in the area are asked to remain indoors and call 911 if they see Mr. Becker. Mr. Becker should still be considered armed and dangerous. He is believed to now be wearing a black t-shirt and dark sweat pants. The investigation is continuing by Detective Eric Fields. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555. Citizens may also report tips anonymously through the KSP app. The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android applications and can be easily downloaded free of charge through Apple and Google Play stores.
