Lucille Squires Bagby, Green County, KY (1928-2017)

She was a retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom after 33 years of employment. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and attended the Greensburg Nazarene Church.

Mrs. Annis Lucille Squires Bagby of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Jim Lewis Squires and Tamara Finn Squires, was born on Friday, November 23, 1928 in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Green Hill Rehab & Care Center. She was 88 years, 11 months, and 15 days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Bagby was conducted at 11amCT Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery, 525 Temperance Road, Greensburg, KY. Bro. Curtis Slinker officiating. Visitation was from 4pm until 8pmCT, Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT Friday until time of the funeral service.

Mrs. Annis Lucille Squires Bagby of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Jim Lewis Squires and Tamara Finn Squires, was born on Friday, November 23, 1928 in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Green Hill Rehab & Care Center. She was 88 years, 11 months, and 15 days of age.

Pallbearers: Donnie Landis, Bobby Landis, Glen Landis, Brandon Bagby, Trent Keltner, Josh Keltner and Marty Bagby.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and attended the Greensburg Nazarene Church. She was also a retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. after 33 years of employment.

She united in marriage to Lallie "Doc" Bagby on April 13, 1946 who preceded her in death on August 31, 1977.

Survivors include:
  • Three sons and two daughters-in-law: Michael and Barbara Bagby of Florida, Bendal and Debbie Bagby of Greensburg, and Marty Bagby of Campbellsville;

  • four grandchildren: Michelle Keltner of Greensburg, Mark Bagby of Florida, Brandon Bagby and Brianne McKinney both of Greensburg;

  • Nine great-grandchildren;

  • A brother and two sisters-in-law: Elwood and Jewell Squires of Campbellsville and Ruth Sullivan of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Bagby was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters: Floyd Squires, Nelson Squires, Russell Squires, Raymond Squires, Beatrice Landis, Marie Squires and Eloise Gumm.
