Phyllis Marie Vaughn Cooper, 78, of Liberty, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services are 11amCT/12pmET, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Sister Kim Koger officiating. Burial will follow in Hiter Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, Friday, November 3, 2017, at the funeral home.

Born July 2, 1939, in Dunnville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Russell & Della Lewellen Vaughn. She died Tuesday, October 31, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 78 years, three months, and 29 days.

Phyllis was a homemaker. She loved to make crafts, sew and quilt.

Survivors include:
  • One son: Mike (Tammy) Cooper of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter: Donna Cooper of Liberty, KY

  • One brother: Lilburn (Lynda) Vaughn of Liberty, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Jason Cooper, Amy Cooper Justin Cooper, Amanda Cooper and Amber Cooper

  • Five great-grandchildren: Michaela Q. Cooper, Syndey Hogue, Alexander Cooper, McKenzie Mings and Maddie Mings

  • and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Lloyd Cooper, who passed away on March 20, 1984.
