Murrell (Red) Corbin, Cumberland Co., KY (1949-2017)

He was a former truck driver for Carty and Carty, Inc. and Key Oil Company. He was born in Cumberland County, KY, was a resident of Green County, KY, at the time of his death, and was a former resident of Adair County, KY. His final resting place will be in his native Cumberland County, just south of Breeding, KY. He was a member of a large, respected family. He was the son of the late Harol Corbin & Melinda Anderson Corbin and the widower of Phyllis Skipworth Corbin. He leaves 21 direct living descendants.

Murrell "Red" Corbin, age 68 of Greensburg, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY, and Burkesville, KY, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Medical Center at Bowling Green, KY

Graveside service: Saturday, November 04, 2017 at 12pmNoonCT at White Hill Cemetery, in Cumberland County, KY, just south of Breeding, KY. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Murrell was born on June 23, 1949 in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Harold Corbin & Melinda Anderson Corbin. He died Sunday, October 29, 2017, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 68 years, four monhs and six months.

He was a former truck driver for Carty and Carty, Inc. and Key Oil Company.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Skipworth Corbin, and five brothers, James Willard, Charles, Junior, and Emmanuel Corbin.

Survivors Include:
  • One daughter: Carolyn Blythe(Greg) of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Wayne Corbin (Cindy) of Hardyville, KY

  • Two sisters: Annie Vibbert of Edmonton, KY; and Lorene Smith of Albany, KY

  • One brother: Glen Corbin of Hardyville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren: Tara Rowe, Johnny Corbin, Wade Howard, Brandon Meador, Gavin Coomer, Olivia Reynolds, Casey Blythe, and Ashley Blythe

  • Nine great grandchildren: Bentley Corbin, Spencer Corbin, Mariah Kelsey, Brayden Burton, Hunter Rowe, Ayden Howard, Aubrey Rhinehart, Alyssa Rhinehart, and Evan Blythe

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
