She leaves five direct living descendants.

The funeral service will be at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Monday, October 16, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Ron Young. Visitation will be 9am-12pmNoonCT/10am-1pmET, Monday, October 16, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY.



Louise Mardis Bohanon, 89, Taylor Co., KY (1929-2017)


Louise Mardis Bohanon was the daughter of the late James H. Mardis & Dellie Sullivan Mardis. She was born December 9, 1929, in Taylor County, KY. She died Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and three days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Louise was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Vernon Bohanon March 31, 1945 and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2008.

She is survived by:
  • One son: Perry K. Bohanon of Elsmere, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Stephen Kent Bohanon and Katie Renee Morgan and husband, Cameron of Lawrenceburg, KY

  • Two great-grandsons: Abel Kent Bohanon and Cole Matthew Morgan

  • One brother and two sisters: Thomas Mardis, Bernice Bowen and husband, J. R. and Betty Stearman, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Charles Mardis, Leola Sallee and Lela Harmon.
