Harvey Henry Estes, 86, Metcalfe Co., KY (1931-2017)

He was a farmer and a member of the Red Lick United Methodist Church. He was the patriarch of a large, respected Metcalfe County, KY family. He was the son of the late Ellis & Emma Jessee Estes, and the widower of Clara Mae Estes. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

Harvey Henry Estes age 86 of Edmonton, KY, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Monday, October 9, 2017, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Jessee Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm until 8pmCT, Sunday, October 8, 2017, and after 9amCT, Monday at the funeral home.


Harvey Henry Estes, 86, Metcalfe Co., KY (1931-2017)


He was the son of the late Ellis & Emma Jessee Estes. He was born May 17, 1931. He died Friday, October 6, 2017, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 86 years, four months, and 19 days.

Harvey was a farmer and a member of the Red Lick United Methodist Church.

He is survived by:
  • Two sons:. Tony and wife Lois Estes, and David Estes, all of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother: Hyman "Silk" Estes of Edmonton, KY

  • A sister: Etna Milby of Edmonton, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Maria White, Whitney Estes, Heather Boston and Kyle Boston

  • Two great grandchildren: Kaleb Boston and Brayton Butts
Besides his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Mae Estes.
