Sabine Eastham: Tour is for ESL students But Director invites non-international students to become a student of English as a Second Language (ESL) for second semester - ESL is not optional for International Students - , to be eligible for tours and other activities with International Studies Students. Answer to query: LWC student wants to know if all LW students eligible Ali Center program By Sabine Eastham, Director Lindsey Wilson College, International Studies Students on the field trip will be from the International Student Program, the Intercultural Communication Course and the English as a Second Language Course. Our English dpt - ESL students and the Intercultural Communication class partnered for the second semester. ESL students are partnered with students from the ICC since the beginning of the semester, meeting several times for an in-depth cultural experience, writing journals, etc. This activity is for students enrolled in ESL and Intercultural Communication class only. However since this has been elevated from the pilot from last semester into an ongoing partnership, I encourage the student to enroll next semester and also to check out activities offered by the United Nation's Club and the International Students Program, in particular upcoming events during the International Education Week, November 13-17, 2017. - Sabine Eastham This story was posted on 2017-10-06 20:42:13
