One vehicle accident near Nancy, KY claims life of Adair Co. man

An accident on the Cumberland Parkway nine miles west of Somerset, KY has claimed the life of a Columbia, KY, man. According to our news colleagues at WKYM, 101.7 FM, Monticello, KY, Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck and deputies responded to a 911 call on the Cumberland Parkway, near Nancy, KY, at approximately 10:50pm, Tuesday, October 3, 2017,


When the officers arrived on the scene, Pulaski County Deputy found a single vehicle and one victim, Daniel D. Farr, 68, of Adair County.

Mr. Farr was driving a 2008 Nissan pickup truck westbound when he apparently lost control, veering into the median, and rolled over multiple time before the vehicle came to a rest.

He was treated on the scene by Pulaski EMS personnel. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by Pulaski County Deputy Coroner Gerald Collingworth.

Personnel from the Pulaski Co., KY Sheriff's Office were assisted on the scene by the Nancy Fire Department.
