Betty was a member of Westside Christian Church and attended Grace Baptist Church. She was a prayer warrior. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. Betty was a house cleaner. She was a native of Bainbridge, IN, a resident of Liberty, KY at the time of her death in Danville, KY, and her final resting place will be in Casey County, KY. She was the matriarch of a large respected Casey County family. She leaves 43 direct living descendants, spanning four generations

Betty Ann Lee Thompson, 84, from Liberty, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation in Danville, KY

The funeral service will be held at 10amCT/11amET, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Tim Carman officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery. The family of Ms. Thompson will receive friends from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET. on Monday, September 25, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



Ms. Betty Ann Lee Thompson, 84, Casey County, KY (1933-2017)


Born on August 21, 1933, in Bainbridge, Putnam County, IN. She was a daughter of the late John Dave & Anna Lacy Cunningham. She died Saturday, September 23, 2017, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 84 years, one month, and two days.

Betty was a member of Westside Christian Church and attended Grace Baptist Church. She was a prayer warrior. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. Betty was a house cleaner.

She is survived by:
  • Four daughters: Barbara (Donnie) Phillips of Jacksonville, FL; Anita Pike of Liberty, KY; Suzi (Donald) Overstreet of Sonora, KY; and Linda (Tim) Carman of Hustonville, KY

  • Four sons: Allen (Martha) Thompson of Liberty, KY; Danny (Lisa) Thompson of Danville, KY; David (Janice) Thompson of Lebanon, TN; and Timmy (Jill) Thompson of Hustonville, KY

  • Fifteen grandchildren

  • Nineteen great-grandchildren

  • One great-great grandchild
In addition to her parents, Betty is predeceased by her previous husband, Alfred Thompson; a sister, Mildred Huff; and three brothers, Uriah Frank, Robert Chester Lee and Manley Gene Lee.
