Michael Louis Smith age 48 of Shepherdsville, Kentucky died Sunday September 17, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 12pmNoonCT, Friday, September 22, 2017, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Joe Field Cemetery. Visitation will 5pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, September 20, 2017; 2pm-8pmCT Thursday, September 21, 2017; and after 9amCT Friday.

Michael was the son of Louis "Wood" Smith & Betty Key Smith of Edmonton, KY. He was born February 3, 1969. He died in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, KY, Sunday, September 17, 2017, at the age of 48 years, seven months, and 14 days.

Michael was an employee of Ford Motor Company.

Besides his parents he is survived by:
  • Two sons: Aaron Michael and Cody Andrew Smith both of Shepherdsville, KY

  • Two sisters: Peggy (Bryan) Humphrey of Summer Shade, KY; and Patty (Freddie) Firkins of Edmonton, KY

  • Three nephews: Connor Firkins, Josh Shaw and Shawn (Cassandra) Shaw

  • One niece: Kaylee Firkins

  • Several aunts, uncles and cousins
