He leaves 18 direct living descendants, including children in Campbellsville, KY, and Columbia, KY

Ronald A Smith, 79, of Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs.

Funeral service for Ronald A. Smith will be at 1pmCT, Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bodie Emerson and Bro. Wayne Keith officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, and after 8amCT, Wednesday. Interment in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Special Music by the Church Choir.

He was born Wednesday, February 23, 1938, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the the late Armos & Ona Jane Wilson Smith. He died Monday, September 18, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 79 years, six months, and 26 days.

Mr. Smith was a Veteran of US Army, a real estate broker and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Luther Edwin Smith.

Survivors inclue:
  • His wife: Betty Price Smith, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two children: Greg (Tamara) Smith, Campbellsville, KY; and Jennifer Mills, Columbia, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Eleven great grandchildren

  • Sister: Glenda Conrad, Shelbyville, IN
