Lola Mae Rexroat, 91, Russell Springs, KY (1926-2017)

She a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church. She was a member of a large, highly repected Russell County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester & Patsy Gosser Meece, and the widow first of Chester Foster, and, later Forrest Rexroat. She was the last of her immediate family, the six children born to Sylvester & Patsy Gosser Meece. She leaves eight direct and two step living descendants.

Lola Mae Rexroat, 91, of Russell Springs, KY, died Friday September 15, 2017 at the home of her son.

Funeral service for Lola Mae Rexroat will be 10amCT, Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Cedar Springs United Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Roy officiating. Interment in the Cedar Springs Cemetery. Visitation 5pm-8pmCT, Sunday, September 17, 2017, at the Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY; and after 8amCT, Monday at the church.



Active pallbearers: Brad Rexroat, Boyd Rexroat, Benjamin Foster, Enrique Clark, Clay Dillon, and Clark Rexroat.

Honorary pallbearers: Beth Foster, Bretta Dillon, Bridget Clark, Shelley Rexroat, Shelby Rexroat, Randy Dillon, Stephen Clark, Mark Rexroat, and Jamie Foster.


Lola Mae Rexroat, 91, Russell Springs, KY (1926-2017)


She was born May 2, 1926 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester & Patsy Gosser Meece. She died Friday, September 15, 2017, at the age of 91 years, four months, and 13 days.

Lola was a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Chester Foster, and her second husband, Forrest Rexroat; a daughter, Reva Rexroat; three brothers, Henry, Roscoe, and Robert Meece; two sisters, Argola Shepard, and Colleen Foley.

Survivors are as follows:
  • One son: Junior (Connie) Foster, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two step sons: Doyle Rexroat, and Lyle Rexroat, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Seven grandchilden: Brad Rexroat, Bethney Foster, Boyd Rexroat, Mark Rexroat, Bretta Dillon, Bridget Clark, and Benjamin Foster
