William Mark Wilson, Casey County, KY (1959-2017)

Mr. Wilson was an avid UK Basketball fan. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and a resident of Liberty, KY, at the time of his passing in Somerset, KY. He was the son of William C. Wilson, who survives, & the late Joanna Sevech Wilson. He leaves 11 direct living descendants. His wife Wanda Appleby Wilson, survives.

William Mark Wilson, age 58, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

Funeral services are at 1pmCT/2pmET on Monday, September 18, 2017 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Brother C.R. Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 10am-1pmCT/11am-2pmET, Monday at the funeral home.



Mr. Wilson's pallbearers are Shawn Means, Chase Means, Randall Wilson, Tim Gosser, Anthony Loveless and Sxon Souksavatdy.


William Mark Wilson, Liberty, KY (1959-2017)


Born on May 11, 1959, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, was the son of William C. Wilson & the late Joanna Sevech Wilson. He died Thursday, September 14, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age 58 years, four months, and three days.

Mr. Wilson was an avid UK Basketball fan. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his father, he is survived by:
  • His wife: Wanda Appleby Wilson

  • A son: Mark Andrew (Samantha) Wilson of Liberty, KY

  • Three daughters: Sarah (Sxon) Souksavatdy of South Carolina; Melinda (Shawn) Means of Liberty, KY; and Amy Gosser of Dunnville, KY

  • One brother: Jimmy Wilson of Liberty, KY

  • Six sisters: Cherie (Jeff) Meeks of Liberty, KY; Kathleen (Tim) Gosser of Liberty, KY; Nancy (Ricky) Wisdom of Jamestown, KY; Becci (Randall) Wilson of Liberty, KY; Debbie (Glen) Phillips of Liberty, KY; and Mary (Art) Wanty of Liberty, KY

  • And seven grandchildren
In addition to his mother, Mark is preceded in death by one sister, Jessica Harpin.
