Poetry by Robert Stone: All my wonders dancing

All my wonders dancing: a word list sonnet
by Robert Stone
I’m slanted downward, rapidly cascading
not brahmacharya new but troglodyte.
I’m winnowing my misconceptions, wading
with trepidation dancing to good night.

I’m trying once again fresh avocado
from slant without and also with cascades
of peppers, trepidation, and bravado
prepared right at my table no charades.

I’m trying not to show my troglodyteness,
embracing brahmacharya best I can.
I’m looking at my life before the brightness
my misconceptions bake into hard plan.

I hope the good need not be winnowed too
so all my wonders dancing form last view.

~ Robert Stone, 9 September 2017
