Kathryn Farris, 89, Campbellsville, KY (1928-2017)

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and had attended Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Kathryn Farris of Campbellsville passed away at 1:32 P.M., Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Campbellsville.

Visitation is scheduled from 5pmET until 8pmET on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 11amET on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. James E. Jones. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.


Kathryn Farris was the daughter of the late Milton Wright and Mary Lizzie Skaggs Wright. She was born July 8, 1928, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:32 P.M., Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Campbellsville at the age of 89.

She professed faith in Christ and had attended Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Kathryn was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She is survived by:
  • One son and daughter-in-law:Wayne and Shirley Underwood of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Shannon Underwood of Ashland, KY; Brett Underwood of Campbellsville, KY; and Mandy Atkins of Spring Hill, TN

  • Two step-grandchildren: Grant Patterson and Tanya Corbin of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Hunter Underwood and Kacie Underwood of Campbellsville, KY; Quinton Bishop, Gannon Atkins and Annie Atkins of Spring Hill, TN
  • One step-great-grandchild: Destiny Corbin of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother and one sister: Irvin Wright and Brenda Montgomery of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Underwood, April 8, 2006 and two brothers: Eugene Wright and Harold Wright.
