He was a retired truck driver. He was member of a large, respected South Adair County, KY family. He was a son of the late Dick Grant & Rachel Dudley Grant, who survives. He leaves 10 direct living descendants.

David Lynn Grant, 65, of Columbia, KY, died at his home Wednesday, August 16, 2017.

Graveside service, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10amCT, in Columbia Cemetery (section by Judicial Center), 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.


David Lynn Grant, 65, Columbia, KY (1951-2017)

He was born November 30, 1951, in LaRue County, KY. He was the son of Rachel Dudley Grant, who survives, and the late Lawence "Dick" Grant. He died Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 65 years, eight months, and 17 days.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence "Dick" Grant.

David was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include:
  • His mother: Rachel Dudley Grant of Columbia, KY

  • Two sons: Nathaniel (Amber) Grant of Beaver Falls, PA; and David Eric Grant of South Carolina

  • One daughter: Bonnie Grant of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Randall (Paula) Grant of Columbia, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Madison, Zoey and Alexander Grant, James Dixon Cary, Aiden Hausdorfer, Austin and Olivia Grant

  • Several other relatives and friends
