He was the son of the late Russell & Ruby Shearer Helm. He died Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in Cundiff, Adair County, KY, at the age of 72 years, eight months, and four days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Pamela Kay York and Linda Sue Coomer.
