Marty Helm, 72, Adair County, KY (1944-2017)

Marty was employed by Don Franklin Ford for over 40 years, detailing and painting automobiles. He was a member of a respected South Adair County, KY family. He was the son of the late Russell & Ruby Shearer Helm. His wife, Anna Brown Helm, survives. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Marshall "Marty" Helm, 72, of the Cundiff community of Adair County, KY, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:37pmCT, at his home.

Funeral service, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Michael Helm officiating. Burial will in Helm Cemetery, 52 Helm Cemetery Road, Cundiff Community, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the funeral home.

Casket Bearers: Davy Burchett, Gary Cape, Tyler Helm, Coty McGowan, Mitchell Wright, Jerry McClister, David Scroggins

Marty Helm, 72, Adair County, KY (1944-2017)

He was born December 6, 1944, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Russell & Ruby Shearer Helm. He died Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in Cundiff, Adair County, KY, at the age of 72 years, eight months, and four days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Pamela Kay York and Linda Sue Coomer.

Marty was employed by Don Franklin Ford for over 40 years, detailing and painting automobiles.

Survivors include:

  • His wife: Anna Brown Helm of Cundiff, KY

  • One son: Marty "Pete" (Melissa) Helm of Cundiff, KY

  • One brother: James Helm of Cundiff

  • Two grandchildren: Bryson Allen Helm and Riley Nevaeh Helm

  • Several nieces, nephews and friends
