Bennie Dion O'Kane, 61, Adair County, KY (1955-2017)

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a former truck driver. He was a native of Flint, MI, and a resident of Columbia at the time of his death. He was the son of Lucy Marie Vinson O'Kane, who survives, and the late Eric Dion O'Kane. His wife, Sara Yarnall O'Kane, survives. He leaves 14 direct living descendants.

Bennie Dion O'Kane, 61, of Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his home.

The family chose cremation and no public service will be held.


Bennie Dion O'Kane, 61, Columbia, KY (1955-2017)


He was born in Flint, Michigan, August 26, 1955. He was the son of the Lucy Marie Vinson O'Kane, who survives, and the late Eric Dion O'Kane. He died Tusday, August 8, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 61 years, 11 months, and 13 days.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a former truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eric Dion O'Kane.

Survivors include:

  • His wife: Sara Yarnall O'Kane of Columbia, KY

  • His mother: Lucy Marie Vinson O'Kane of Michigan

  • One son: Eric O'Kane of Tennessee

  • Two daughters: Jamie Heustess of Georgia, and Christi Reeves of Florida

  • Three brothers: Douglas, Randall and Ronald O'Kane all of Michigan

  • Three sisters: Kimberlee Urwiller, Angel Peavler, and Cissy O'Kane all of Michigan

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Three great-grandchildren
The family chose cremation and no public service will be held
