Wesley Carl Ennis, 64 years, Metcalfe County, KY (1952-2017)

He was a farmer and a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of a respected Metcalfe County, KY, family. He was the son of the late Raymon & Susie Mae Byrd Ennis. His wife, Patricia Rhinehart Ennis, survives. He leaves 17 direct living descendants, spanning three generations.

Wesley Carl Ennis age 64 of Summer Shade passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Fields Family Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Saturday until service time.


Wesley Carl Ennis, Metcalfe County, KY (1952-2017)


He was the son of the late Raymon & Susie Mae Byrd Ennis. He was born November 11, 1952. He died Thursday, August 10, 2017, in Nashville, Davidson County, TN, at the age of 64 years, eight months, and 30 days.

Wesley was a farmer and member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church.

Wesley is survived by:
  • His wife: Patricia Rhinehart Ennis of Summer Shade, KY

  • Three sons: Carl Ennis of Bonayre, KY; Steve Ennis of Glasgow, KY; and Larry Ennis of Edmonton, KY

  • Three brothers: Jimmy and Wendell Ennis of Edmonton, KY; and Dalton Ennis of Knob Lick, KY

  • Three sisters: Gail Hayes of Horse Cave, KY; Ellen Bowles of Edmonton, KY; and Donna Jewell of Horse Cave, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Wayne and Donald Ray Ennis and one sister Janice Young.
