Donald David Gray, Cumberland Co., KY (1934-2017)

He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and an assembly worker for Chevrolet Truck Division of General Motors Corporation. He was a native of Clinch Port, VA, and a resident of Peytonsburg, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Harry & Nell Falin Gray. He was the widower of Selena Maydene Long Gray. He leaves two direct living descendants.

Mr. Donald David "Don" Gray, 83, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at his residence in the Peytonsburg Community of Cumberland County, KY. .

The graveside service will conducted on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11amCT, in The Scott Cemetery in the Peytonsburg Community of Cumberland County, KY. Burial will be in the Scott Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11amCT on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Norris-New Funeral Home until 10amCT on Thursday morning.

Mr. Donald David (Don) Gray, Cumberland Co., KY (1934-2017)

He was born on Tuesday, July 24, 1934 in Clinch Port, Scott County, VA. He was the son of Harry & Nell Falin Gray. He died Sunday, July 30, 2017, in Peytonsburg, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 83 years, and 6 days. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and an assembly worker for Chevrolet Truck Division of General Motors Corporation.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Selena Maydene Long Gray, who preceded him in death on Monday, December 10, 2007; and his brothers, Jerry Gray and Bobby Gray.

He is survived by
  • His daughters: Terri Gray and Bonnie Gray, both of Burkesville, KY

  • His sisters: Jane (Charles) Nickels of Kingsport, TN; Charlotte Smith of Clinton, WA; Nancy (Robert) Langrel of Seymour, IN; Martha McBribe of Ava, SC

  • His brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Franklin and Beatrice Spears of Burkesville, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews and cousins
