Susie Mae Harmon, 67, Casey County, KY (1950-2017)

She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church at Contown. She enjoyed gardening and going to yard sales. She was a member of a large, respected Casey County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Perry William Lane & Pokey Pittman Lane and the widow of David Lee Harmon. She leaves 21 direct living descendants.

Susie Mae Harmon, of Liberty, KY passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017, at her residence. She was 67.

A memorial service will be held at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Contown Road, Contown, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT/11amET, on Wednesday at the Church.


Susie Mae Harmon, 67, Casey County, KY (1950-2017)


Born February 19, 1950, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Perry William Lane & Pokey Pittman Lane. She died Friday, July 28, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 67 years, five months, and nine days.

Susie was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church at Contown. She enjoyed gardening and going to yard sales.

Survivors include:
  • Her daughter: Tina (and Chris) Richardson of Liberty, KY

  • Sons: Jeffrey Harmon (and Ruthann Egolf) of Junction City, KY; Timmy (and Tammy) Harmon of Liberty, KY; and Tommy Harmon (and Janet Bolin) of Liberty, KY

  • Sisters: Faye Garrett and Barbara Eads, both of Liberty, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • And 11 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Lee Harmon; brothers, Edwin and Hubert Lane; sister, Dellie Crew; and 2 infant siblings.

Cremation rites were honored by McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
