Rhodena Lee Robertson Hart, Russell Co., KY (1938-2017)

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church. She was a treasured member of the community. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Oliver & Zula D. (Foley) Robertson and the widow of Elder Royce Franklin Hart. She leaves 17 direct living descendants.

Rhodena Lee (Robertson) Hart, 78, died Friday, July 28, 2017, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral service for Rhodena Hart will be at 10amCT, Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Salem United Baptist Church, with Elder Larold Gosser officiating. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, and 8am-10amCT, Monday at the Salem United Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Jason Shanks, Paul Barger, Ben Hammond, John Luttrell, Andrew Shanks, and Tony Rudd.

Rhodena Lee Robertson Hart, 78, Russell County, KY (1938-2017)


She was born October 9, 1938, in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Oliver & Zula D. (Foley) Robertson. Sge dued Friday, July 28, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 78 years, nine months, and 19 days.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Royce Franklin Hart; and a sister, Rosemary Rudd.

Survivors are:
  • Two sons: Wayne (Teresa) Hart, and Rodney (Marsha) Hart, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • One daughter: Rhonda (David) Hammond, Russell Springs, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Laura Shanks, Lesley Barger, Ben Hammond, Rachael Luttrell, and Baylee Hart

  • Nine great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Shanks, Andrew Shanks, Callie Barger, Jamison Barger, Molly Hammond, Annslee Hammond, Luke Luttrell, Jacob Hammond, and Olivia Hammond

The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. These can be made at the funeral home.
