Morgan Tirabasso, 12, attends Junior Young Leaders Conference She is the daughter of Dr. Edward & Mischa Griffitt Tirabasso, Springfield, KY; and granddaughter of Dr. Edward & Margaret Coffey Griffitt, formerly of Adair County, KY and Dr. and Mrs. Edward Jachym of Mansfield, Ohio. Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) From Dr. & Mrs. Edward Jachym Morgan Tirabasso, age 12, of St. Dominic School, Springfield, KY, attended the Junior Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. July 10-15, 2017. Morgan is the daughter of Dr. Victor & Mischa Griffitt Tirabasso. Her grandparents are Dr. Edward & Margaret Coffey Griffitt, formerly of Adair County, KY; and Dr. Jachym & Maria Tirabasso of Mansfield, Ohio. She the great granddaughter of Venie Coffey of Columbia, KY, and Dr. & Mrs. Joseph M. Griffitt, formerly of Columbia, KY. Morgan was selected based on her academic achievements and leadership potential. She was recognized as one of a select group of students with the scholastic merit, maturity and strength of character needed to be involved in this unique leadership program for exceptional middle school students. During the six-day program, students took part in educational activities and presentations and explored relevant sites, such as Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in West Virginia and Washington, DC's museums and memorials. In addition to examing notable U.S. leaders and historic figures, students studied the impact of leadership throughout critical periods of American history, including teh Civil War and Reconstruction, World War II, the Great Depression and Civil Rights Movement.
